The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Killer darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Killer is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Morgan to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Morgan shrugs it off.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morgan tries to hold on but Killer pushes him away.

Killer swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Morgan is now in Killer's guard. A big mistake from Killer there, giving up the dominant position!

Killer has hold of Morgan's hands but Morgan slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Killer wants to stand back up but Morgan manages to pass into side control.

Killer rushes Morgan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Morgan lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Killer or not.

Morgan gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Morgan lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Killer is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Morgan presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Morgan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Killer frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Killer stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Killer shoots in and bounces Morgan off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Killer works to advance to full mount. Morgan defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Mavel Killer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Killer closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Morgan did well to prevent Killer getting side control.

Killer is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
