PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Deidara Zetsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Tatov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zetsu's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Make Me. Tatov has chosen Soundgarden - Superunknown as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Igor Tatov!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zetsu misses the jab.
Zetsu takes one to the side of the head.
Zetsu looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Zetsu goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Tatov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Zetsu as he jumps to the side.
Tatov looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Tatov closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Tatov.

It looks like Deidara Zetsu has been cut.

Tatov breaks from the clinch.
A jab from Zetsu does it's job there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tatov takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Zetsu moves in looking to clinch but Tatov pushes him off.
Zetsu jabs at Tatov's body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Tatov. Zetsu does a little dance to reset his feet.
Tatov slips under a jab from Zetsu.
A head kick misses from Zetsu.

Zetsu has taken the fight to the clinch.
Tatov misses with a body punch.
Zetsu lands a hook to the side of the head.
Tatov misses with a short punch on the inside.
Tatov blocking some punches.
Tatov blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Zetsu is pressed up against the cage. Tatov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Zetsu down to the mat. Zetsu avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Zetsu connects with a looping right hand.
Tatov with a hook.
Zetsu lands a really nice looking cross but Tatov seems unphased.

Tatov wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Deidara Zetsu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Zetsu.
Zetsu lands with a kick to the ribs.
Zetsu dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Zetsu wants to clinch up but Tatov keeps it at a distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters circle momentarily. Zetsu darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Tatov drops his hands momentarily and Zetsu takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Zetsu thows a body shot but no joy.
Tatov misses with a body shot.
Zetsu connects with a right hand. Tatov shakes it off.
Tatov moves away from the strike by Zetsu.
Zetsu dips to his left and cracks Tatov with an uppercut!

Tatov is rocked!
Zetsu connects with a leg kick. Tatov looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Zetsu lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Tatov falls backwards - clearly groggy! Zetsu dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Deidara Zetsu!
A less than humble Deidara Zetsu misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
Igor Tatov was interviewed post fight and said 'thanks for the memories, Montreal, I go out on my shield for you.'.
