Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cecil Peoples (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Do (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peoples kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Party People by Nelly Featuring Fergie. Bruce Do acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Cecil Peoples!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 7 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Bruce Do!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peoples throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Do stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Peoples closes the distance looking to clinch
and Do counters with an outside leg kick.
Do keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Peoples tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Do counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Peoples is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Peoples misses with a jab, cross combination.
Peoples moves in looking to clinch but Do pushes him off.

Do closes the distance and pushes Peoples back into the cage.
Peoples doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Do unloads a knee to the mid-section. Peoples lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Peoples trying to stall but Do improves his position.
I was talking to Peoples's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Do tries to land a knee to the head but Peoples blocks with his arms.
Do tries to throw a body punch but Peoples avoids it by throwing Do back against the cage.

Peoples breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Do won't allow Peoples to get back to his feet.

Do throwing strikes from guard but Peoples blocks nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Do loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Peoples is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Do postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Do chips away with some ground and pound.

Do throws an elbow that misses. Peoples uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Do's guard. Nice move by Peoples!
Peoples trying to control but Do is working from the bottom.

Do utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Do controls Peoples momentarily but Peoples frees himself.
Peoples wants to get up but he can't break Do's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Peoples trying to control but Do is working from the bottom.

Peoples trying to stand up but can't free himself from Do's guard.
Do pulls Peoples in close to prevent any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That kick from Do tenderised Peoples's leg. Peoples is trying to keep his angry face on.
A nice inside leg kick there by Do. That's going to slow Peoples down.
Peoples scores with a crisp jab that stopped Do in his tracks.
Peoples tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Do paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Do throws an overhand right that lands on Peoples's shoulder, as Peoples tries to avoid the shot.
Peoples moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Do closes the distance and pushes Peoples back into the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Peoples breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Peoples cracks Do with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Peoples connects with a solid leg kick.
Peoples walks into a straight right hand from Do.

Do fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Peoples, pushing him back against the cage.
Peoples struggles to land a body shot inside as Do controls his hands.
Peoples blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Peoples is looking to break free of the clinch but Do has double underhooks.
Do lands a knee to the body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Do tries to land knees in the clinch but Peoples avoids the damage to the body.
Peoples scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Do throws an elbow but it misses.
Nice elbow from Do.
Do with a knee to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bruce Do dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Do misses with a takedown attempt - Peoples sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Cecil Peoples has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruce Do.

Oh Peoples is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Do stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Do working the clinch nicely. Peoples is working for position but Do cracks him with a big knee to the head! Peoples crumples up against the cage and Do lands two more shots before the ref can save Peoples! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee & Punches). Bruce Do!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Bruce Do waved his t-shirt featuring Cold Blooded Kemists ↑ 5x160Q's logo in front of the cameras.
Cecil Peoples was interviewed post fight and said 'Next time, I will smash this chump with the spinning backfist'.
