Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Travis Lirette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sheldon Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lirette's entrance music is Move On. A fine choice. Cooper has chosen star trek theme as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper looks to land a right hand but Lirette moved out of range.
Cooper scores with a hook to the body. Lirette takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Cooper moves in looking to clinch but Lirette pushes him off.
Cooper swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Lirette closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Cooper is looking to escape.
Lirette wants to take a breather but Cooper is having none of it.

Cooper got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lirette has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cooper has managed to get both his arms back between Lirette's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round but I would say that Travis Lirette will probably get the nod.

Lirette tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cooper sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lirette somewhat.
Cooper lands a nice hook to Lirette's body. Lirette takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Cooper lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lirette circles away quickly and effectively.

and Lirette decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cooper's guard.

Lirette jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Cooper is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Cooper and Lirette has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lirette goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Cooper has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Lirette but great work by Cooper.

Lirette throws an elbow that misses. Cooper uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lirette's guard. Nice move by Cooper!

Lirette has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cooper can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Lirette takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
