Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Witt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trang Troc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Witt comes to the cage accompanied by Animal by Disturbed. Troc has chosen Dr. Octagon - Real Raw as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 7 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Aaron Witt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Trang Troc!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Troc uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Witt has time to react.
Troc throws an off balance right hand

and Witt counters with a single leg into guard. Troc didn't expect that.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Witt's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Witt is looking to work some ground and pound but Troc has wrist control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Witt slips under a jab.
Witt throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Troc sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Troc tries to throw a body punch but Witt avoids it by throwing Troc back against the cage.

Troc is pressed up against the cage. Witt has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Troc down to the mat. Troc avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Witt counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Witt seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Witt misses with a head shot. Troc uses the momentum to regain guard.
Troc utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Troc throws out a loose jab but Witt uses good head movement to avoid it.
Troc misses with a straight left.
Troc misses with a series of wild punches.
Troc is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Troc scores with a one two! Witt had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Troc forces Witt back against the cage and clinches.

Witt turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Troc dodges the ground and pound from Witt.

Troc wants to control but Witt postures up.
We've been hearing that Witt has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Witt has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Trang Troc has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

That was a close second round but I would say that Aaron Witt will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Troc fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Witt checks it well.

Witt gets tackled into the cage by Troc. Troc maintains the clinch.
Witt tries to work over Troc's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Troc misses with an elbow strike.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Witt lands a nice shot to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Witt's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Troc scores with a knee to the head.


It looks like Aaron Witt has been cut.

Witt tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Troc smiles and moves away.
Witt throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Witt looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Troc connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Witt momentarily.
Witt fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Troc manages to avoid it.
Witt fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Witt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aaron Witt. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Troc misses with a low kick as Witt jumps back.
Troc explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Witt throws a hook to the side of Troc's head but Troc sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Trang Troc has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The fighters circling - Witt throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A big right from Witt misses.
Witt moves out of range of the body kick from Troc.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Witt missing with a left hand there. Troc was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Troc throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Troc throws a jab but it's blocked by Witt.
Witt lands a jab to Troc's midsection.
Witt shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Troc pinned against the cage. Troc gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Troc connects with a body shot.
Troc misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Witt.

Witt misses with a wild combination.
Troc fails in his attempt to clinch.
Troc throws a leg kick but Witt moved away.
Witt throws the left hand but Troc avoids the punch easily.
Troc cracks Witt with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Witt postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Witt laying and praying for a moment but Troc takes advantage and regains half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Witt throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Witt scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Witt working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Troc's thigh. Troc counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Troc has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Witt can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Trang Troc.
I think Witt has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
