PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryhti Metti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gay Lussac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lussac comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sadly Ever After by Innerphoria kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Gay Lussac is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lussac looks to score with a jab to the body but Metti is just out of range.

Metti feints and as Lussac raises his hands in defense, Metti changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lussac working for a triangle but Metti defends it easily.
Mettiis looking to pass into half guard but Lussac pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Lussac is in guard.
Lussac wants to stand but Metti has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Metti has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lussac can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Lussac thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Metti bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lussac's guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Lussac pulls Metti in close to his closed guard and prevents Metti from doing any damage or advancing position.

Crunch! Lussac slams his shin into Metti's torso.
Metti throws a looping overhand right but Lussac ducks down to avoid it.
Lussac thows a body shot but no joy.

Lussac wants to slow Metti down by chopping away at his legs.
Lussac ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Metti moves away.
Lussac just misses with a punch to the body.
Metti shoots for a takedown but Lussac saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Lussac catches Metti napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Metti to the canvas!

It looks like Ryhti Metti has been cut.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Oh Metti is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Lussac has control of Metti's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Metti regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

I would just about give that final round to Gay Lussac.
