The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McFighter fails to land the takedown.
Starter McFighter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Simon gets tackled into the cage by McFighter. McFighter maintains the clinch.
Simon is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but McFighter is keeping busy.
McFighter is trying to push Simon away but Simon has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
McFighter wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Simon has him pressed against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
McFighter is defending well against a takedown attempt.
McFighter jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Simon walks away with a smile on his face. McFighter gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

McFighter wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Simon has him pressed against the cage.

Simon is trying to drag McFighter to the mat but McFighter just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Simon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McFighter can do anything to dispel that myth.
