PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Howlett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Calvin Wolfe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Howlett comes to the cage accompanied by Indestructible. Calvin Wolfe told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Calvin Wolfe!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howlett lands a glancing blow to the side of Wolfe's head.
Wolfe is looking to clinch.
Wolfe misses with a takedown attempt
and Wolfe takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Wolfe shoots in but Howlett avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Howlett takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

It looks like Calvin Wolfe has been cut.
Wolfe takes a swing at Howlett's ribcage but misses.
Howlett throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Howlett cracks Wolfe with a good jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Howlett lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Howlett feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Wolfes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Wolfe doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Howlett counters with a right hand to the body.
James Howlett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Calvin Wolfe.
Wolfe looks winded!
A left lands for Howlett.
Howlett throws a good cross that connects.

Howlett drops Wolfe with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Wolfe looks back up at him and smiles so Howlett waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Wolfe is rocked!
Nice body punch from Howlett.
Wolfe is still on wobbly legs! Can Howlett finish him?
Wolfe takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Howlett throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Wolfe stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Howlett scores with a nice strike.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Howlett cracks Wolfe on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Wolfe falls backwards against the cage. Howlett follows up with more strikes that drop Wolfe to his knees. Howlett keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Wolfe! This one is all over!
