Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Troy McLure (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva's entrance music is Headsprung. A fine choice. McLure has chosen The Simpsons Theme Song as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Daniel Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Troy McLure!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLure is looking to clinch but Silva is avoiding it.
McLure attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
McLure moves to clinch but Silva breaks away
and Silva counters with an inside leg kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Silva. McLure does a little dance to reset his feet.
Silva misses with a hook.
McLure throws a lazy right hand but Silva sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Silva lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
The crowd cheers as Silva lands an impressive looking overhand right. McLure doesn't seem phased though.


It looks like Troy McLure has been cut.

Silva dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McLure tries to clinch up
and Silva counters with a leg kick.
Troy McLure seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've been hearing reports that Silva has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

McLure throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
McLure blocks a leg kick.
McLure wants to clinch up but Silva keeps it at a distance.
Silva circles away from the clinch attempt.
McLure rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Silva counters with a two punch combo.

and Silva makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Silva throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

and Silva counters with a single leg into guard. McLure didn't expect that.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Silva in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Silva with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Silva content to stall in guard here.
Silva's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Daniel Silva.
McLure tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.
No joy there for McLure, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Silva counters with a low kick, right behind McLure 's knee.
Silva lands a jab to McLure's midsection.
Silva throws a sloppy head kick and McLure moves out of range easily.
McLure avoids the body shot from Silva.
The fight stays on the outside here - McLure looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Silva lands a leg kick that knocks McLure off balance momentarily.
McLure looks winded!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

McLure tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
McLure with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Silva to score with a decent uppercut.
McLure throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Silva counters with a left to the body.

Silva feints and then cracks McLure's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow McLure down.
Silva connects with a leg kick. McLure looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Good leg kick by Silva there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Silva fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Silva lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Silva chopping away at his opponent's legs.
McLure takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Silva moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Silva scoring well with a low kick there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Silva fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McLure has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Silva lands with a thumping leg kick.
McLure stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Silva.
Silva ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McLure moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daniel Silva dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Troy McLure's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Silva fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. McLure looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
A solid leg kick lands there for Silva.
Silva punishes McLure's body with a nice straight punch.
Silva lands a jab to McLure's midsection.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Silva lands with a thumping leg kick.
Silva throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McLure stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
McLure on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Silva. Silva obviously looking to wear him down.
Silva connects with a jab.
McLure tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Silva moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
McLure stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Silva.
Silva connects with an inside leg kick.
Silva cracks the inside of McLure's front leg.
McLure chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Silva can pounce on him.
Good leg kick by Silva there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
McLure is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McLure takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.


That has opened up Troy McLure's cut even more.
Silva fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops McLure to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! McLure looks to clinch but Silva throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! McLure taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Daniel Silva!
As Daniel Silva got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: I have a lot of respect for Kable and his manager. I thank him for taking fighting and its a honor to have fought him. Now I want Proudstar. Proudstar lets do this!'.
In defeat, Troy McLure stepped up to the mic, saying '"Duff Man... says a lot of things! Oh, yeah!"'.
