Cotton fails with the takedown.
A jab-cross combination lands for Dredd and sends Cotton crashing to the mat! Dredd follows him down to the mat - Cotton regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Cotton is rocked!
It looks like Sid Cotton has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dredd lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Cotton quite badly. Cotton pulls Dredd in close trying to recover. Dredd postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Cotton on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Cotton doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Dredd!
