Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michal Szelag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Miloshev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michal Szelag!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ivan Miloshev!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miloshev keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Szelag tries to close the distance and clinch up but Miloshev swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Miloshev throws a combination that misses
and Szelag makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Miloshev pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Miloshev fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Szelag lands a jab-cross combination.

Miloshev takes the fight into the clinch.
Szelag goes for a takedown in the clinch but Miloshev prevents it.
Szelag really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Miloshev breaks from the clinch.
Szelag slaps away a takedown attempt from Miloshev, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Miloshev defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Szelag.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michal Szelag. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Szelag shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Miloshev sprawls well. Miloshev wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Szelag gets slowly back to his feet.
Szelag throws a head kick that misses.

Miloshev shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Szelag manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Miloshev wants to pass the guard but Szelag is keeping the position.
Miloshev engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Miloshev thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Szelag throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Miloshev throwing strikes but missing.

Szelag working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Miloshev doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Miloshev manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Miloshev would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Miloshev looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Szelag is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Miloshev is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Miloshev thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Miloshev forces his way into half guard.
Miloshev trying to control from half guard but Szelag is working away.
Szelag tries to kick Miloshev off but Miloshev keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Szelag on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Miloshev feints and as Szelag raises his hands in defense, Miloshev changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Miloshev controls from within his opponent's guard.
Miloshev won't allow Szelag to get back to his feet.
Miloshev working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Szelag striking off his back but it's not causing Miloshev any problems.

Szelag working for a triangle but Miloshev defends it easily.
Miloshev tries to stand but Szelag is controlling from the bottom.

Miloshev not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Miloshev missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Szelag is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Miloshev pulls Szelag into guard.
Miloshev is trying to control the position but Szelag postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Szelag content to stall in guard here.
Szelag is looking to stand up but Miloshev won't let him.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Miloshev can do anything to dispel that myth.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Miloshev looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Szelag passes into side control.
Miloshev struggling a bit here.
Miloshev is looking for a sweep.
Miloshev holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Szelag throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Miloshev works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Szelag throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Miloshev has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Szelag is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Miloshev punching from the bottom.
Miloshev wants to control but Szelag is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ivan Miloshev wasn't active enough on the ground.
Szelag scores with a hook to the body. Miloshev takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Miloshev tries to close the distance and clinch but Szelag swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Miloshev clinches up against the cage.
Miloshev jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Szelag walks away with a smile on his face. Miloshev gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Szelag tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Miloshev paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Michal Szelag is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Miloshev moves out of range of the body kick.
Szelag gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Miloshev counters by clinching up.
Szelag tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Miloshev tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Miloshev pulls guard.
Miloshev is trying to control the position but Szelag postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ivan Miloshev showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Miloshev shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Szelag napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Miloshev moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Miloshev is looking to take a break and control but Szelag is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Miloshev pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Miloshev controlling the position easily from mount.

Miloshev is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Szelag can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Miloshev looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Szelag wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Miloshev swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Szelag is now in Miloshev's guard. A big mistake from Miloshev there, giving up the dominant position!
Szelag has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Szelag gets to his feet. Miloshev looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Miloshev drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Miloshev is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Miloshev trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Szelag controls Miloshev momentarily but Miloshev frees himself.
Miloshev wants to stand but Szelag has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Miloshev is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Michal Szelag just wasn't active enough.
Miloshev stuffs the takedown.

Miloshev tries to clinch but Szelag moves out of range.
Miloshev pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Szelag tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Miloshev manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Miloshev fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Szelag to the ground. Miloshev is now in Szelag's guard.
Miloshev tries to stand but Szelag is controlling from the bottom.
Szelag avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Szelag can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Miloshev controls the pace.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Miloshev slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Ivan Miloshev comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Miloshev winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
