The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hassan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Hassan shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hassan showed some decent athleticism there.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hassan in particular looking to stall.

Hassan manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Poullart on his heels. He'll look to pass Poullart's guard now, I'm sure.

Poullart lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Poullart throws the kick towards the body but Hassan avoids it.
Poullart walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hassan checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Poullart stalks Hassan and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hassan's face. Hassan staggers backwards, shaken.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hassan is defended easily by Poullart.

Mike Poullart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hassan throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Poullart is working the combinations to good effect here.
Poullart throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Hassan has hold of Poullart's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Poullart seems comfortable defending it but Hassan has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Poullart is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Poullart is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Hassan couldn't care less - he's delighted!
