And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Drock Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Roberts and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar tries to bum rush Dodson with a series of wild strikes but Dodson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Dodson gets a double leg takedown into Lesnar's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Lesnar wants to stand and escape but Dodson is having none of it.
Lesnar controls Dodson momentarily but Dodson frees himself.
Lesnar striking off his back but it's not causing Dodson any problems.
Lesnar is trying to keep Dodson in close.

Lesnar working for submissions but it's allowed Dodson to get to half guard.
Lesnar wants to control the action here but instead Dodson manages to pass to full mount!

Dodson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Lesnar has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Lesnar tries to hold on but Dodson postures up.
Dodson controlling his opponent.
Dodson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dodson looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Dodson scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Lesnar?
Dodson sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Lesnar wants to hold on but Dodson pushes him away.
Lesnar srikes from the bottom but he's lost position and has given up his back.
Lesnar wants to escape the position.

I really don't envy Lesnar right now.

Dodson is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Lesnar should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Dodson is looking for the choke from the back position but Lesnar is controlling his hands well.

Dodson is riding his opponent, not letting Lesnar buck him off.

Lesnar tries to escape but Dodson has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Dodson scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Dodson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lesnar.

and Lesnar counters with a lovely straight right hand!


It looks like Thomas Dodson has been cut.

Lesnar pushes Dodson up against the cage in a clinch.
Lesnar wants to break the clinch but can't.
Dodson fails to pull guard.
Lesnar managing to block the knees to the body from Dodson.
Dodson misses with a hook from the clinch.
Dodson jumps guard but Lesnar stands there with Dodson around his waist. Dodson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thomas Dodson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lesnar lands a hook to the side of the head.
Lesnar displaying some good clinch control by pressing Dodson up against the cage.
Lesnar prevents a takedown attempt there.
Dodson jumps guard but Lesnar turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Lesnar fails to pull guard.
Lesnar lands a big knee to the head and Dodson goes down! Lesnar pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Drock Lesnar!
