The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patrushev shoots in looking for a takedown but Sanchez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Patrushev's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Patrushev throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sanchez tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Patrushev is in Sanchez's guard.

Sanchez manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
