Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bill Compton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Woleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Compton comes to the cage accompanied by I'm A Man Of Constant Sorrow. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Woleman!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Matheus Silva and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Compton defending well as Woleman loads up on a big left hand.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Woleman has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Woleman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Woleman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Woleman tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Compton defends well and Woleman ends up having to push Compton into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Woleman jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Compton walks away with a smile on his face. Woleman gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Bill Compton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Woleman on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Woleman catches Compton with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!


It looks like Bill Compton has been cut.
