Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between War Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rostam Borodakov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, War Machine! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rostam Borodakov! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Machine keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Borodakov takes a jab right on the kisser.
Borodakov waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Machine. Borodakov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Machine sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Borodakov somewhat. Borodakov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Machine defends well and Borodakov ends up having to push Machine into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Machine is trying to break the clinch but Borodakov has him pressed against the cage. Machine tries to break the clinch but Borodakov is controlling the position. Machine is trying to break the clinch but Borodakov has him pressed against the cage. Machine tries to circle away but Borodakov has him pinned against the cage. Machine is trying to break the clinch but Borodakov has him pressed against the cage. Machine takes a shot to the head. Machine working hard to break the clinch. Machine gets underhooks to prevent Borodakov's takedown attempt.
War Machine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rostam Borodakov. Borodakov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's one minute gone in the round. Borodakov uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Machine. Borodakov takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Borodakov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Machine.
Borodakov swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Machine cracks Borodakov with an open hand slap. Horrible takedown by Borodakov or perhaps it was just good defense by Machine which made him look bad. Borodakov uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Machine. Machine misses with a lunging right hand

Machine definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Borodakov pivots, looking for a leg kick but Machine is out of range and Borodakov settles back down. A jab from Machine does it's job there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Borodakov slips under a jab from Machine. Jab by Machine. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Machine misses with an uppercut
and Borodakov counters with a series of strikes. Machine will be more careful next time no doubt. Borodakov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Machine throws a jab but it's blocked by Borodakov. Borodakov needs to keep his hands up - Machine had a free shot at his head there. Borodakov moves away from the strike by Machine. Machine waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Borodakov. Borodakov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Machine lands a head shot. Machine misses with a left hand and Borodakov counters with a left to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Decent striking displayed by Machine there.
Borodakov is rocked! A big right from Machine misses. Borodakov is still on wobbly legs! Can Machine finish him? Borodakov slips under a jab. Machine missing with a left hand there. Borodakov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Borodakov keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Machine. War Machine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice defenses there by Borodakov. Borodakov seems to have recovered his senses. Borodakov goes for a double leg but Machine avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Machine continues to drive forward. Machine is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Machine tries to break free but Borodakov pushes him back against the cage. Machine wants to get back to striking at distance but Borodakov won't allow it.

Borodakov tries to close the distance and clinch up but Machine swats him away and circles back towards the center. Borodakov's coach down at Cozad The Island was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Borodakov's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Machine is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Borodakov misses with a takedown attempt enabling Machine to counter with a crisp jab. Machine connects with a nice looking jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Machine takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Machine throws an overhand right that lands on Borodakov's shoulder, as Borodakov tries to avoid the shot. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Borodakov wants to clinch up but Machine keeps it at a distance. Borodakov slips under a jab from Machine. Borodakov takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
War Machine dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Nice uppercut there from Machine. Machine circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Borodakov to the canvas! Borodakov doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Machine keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). War Machine! War Machine is the new middleweight champion!
