The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weidman closes the distance looking to clinch
and Aslamanov counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Chris Weidman has been cut.
Aslamanov fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Weidman wants to clinch but Aslamanov slips to the side
and Aslamanov counters with a stiff right hand.

Aslamanov gets a takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Aslamanov looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Aslamanov is nestled in close to Weidman, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Aslamanov is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Weidman is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
