Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Balan Syed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Abdul Raziq!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Anthony Taglia and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raziq fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Raziq moves out of range as Syed strikes.
Raziq fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Raziq fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Syed avoids it really well and circles away.
Balan Syed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abdul Raziq.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Raziq is defended easily by Syed.
Syed scores with a jab.
Raziq shoots in and bounces Syed off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Syed holds on and takes a little breather.
Syed lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Raziq!

Syed is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Syed extends the arm and Raziq is forced to tap!
