Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adrian Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wilfrid Laurier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peterson comes to the cage accompanied by Immigrant Song - Led Zeppelin. Wilfrid Laurier has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wilfrid Laurier!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Lou da Vinci and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Laurier moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sloppy strikes from Laurier. Those never looked like landing.
The crowd cheers as Laurier lands an impressive looking overhand right. Peterson doesn't seem phased though.
Adrian Peterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Laurier connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

A head kick lands from Laurier that sends Peterson to the canvas. Peterson tries to scramble back to his feet but Laurier brings him back down into side control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Laurier lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Peterson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Peterson wants to stay close but Laurier steps back to make room for something. Peterson seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Laurier and Peterson drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Wilfrid Laurier!
A relieved looking Wilfrid Laurier thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Adrian Peterson spoke after the fight, saying 'Non omnis moriare'.
