The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Anthony Taglia and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toffer with a lazy takedown attempt
and Bova counters with a slapping leg kick.
Toffer tries for a takedown but Bova circles away easily
and Bova makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Toffer really felt that one!

and Bova connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bova has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
