The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramos uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rouge.
Ramos looks to score with a jab to the body but Rouge is just out of range.
Ramos connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Ramos fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rouge manages to avoid it.
Rouge throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ramos.
Ramos throws a lazy right hand but Rouge sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Ramos stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Ramos throws a hook but Rouge blocks it.

and Rouge counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Rouge controls from within his opponent's guard.
Ramos controls Rouge momentarily but Rouge frees himself.
Rouge wants to pass the guard but Ramos is keeping the position.

Rouge throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ramos works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Ramos preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Ramos controls Rouge momentarily but Rouge frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ramos can't keep his opponent in guard - Rouge advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Rouge is working for a submission of some sort.

Rouge is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Rouge is trying to control the action in half guard but Ramos is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Rouge is thwarting Ramos's attempts to control the position.
Ramos has hold of Rouge's hands but Rouge slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Rouge working over Ramos with some ground and pound. Ramos looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Ramos is refusing to be controlled, as Rouge sits in half guard.
Ramos wants to improve his position but Rouge is controlling well.

Rouge is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ramos has managed to free his arm - good work.
Ramos is looking for a sweep. Rouge is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Rouge is looking for submissions but instead, Ramos has regained full guard.
Ramos looking to control.
Rouge working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Rouge postures up in Ramos's guard and throws a big left but Ramos blocks it.
Rouge slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Rouge trying to control the position from guard on top but Ramos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Rouge fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Rouge shoots in for a takedown but Ramos shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Ramos just misses with a punch to the body.
Rouge feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ramoss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Rouge closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ramos circles away.
Octavio Ramos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mr Rouge.

Rouge rushes Ramos and presses him up against the cage.
Ramos doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Ramos misses with the head strike.
Rouge is trying to pull guard but Ramos turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Ramos throws a punch but it's blocked by Rouge.

Ramos tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Rouge misses with a knee strike.
Ramos wants to break the clinch but can't.

Rouge has picked Ramos up - he's going for a ride! Rouge dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Ramos manages to escape and get back to his feet!

A looping hook to the body misses from Ramos. Rouge does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rouge tries to clinch there but Ramos circles away.

Ramos is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Rouge stands up over Ramos, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Rouge lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Ramos wants to get back to his feet but Rouge is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Rouge must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Rouge's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Rouge throws a strike but Ramos rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Let's hope that Rouge has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Mr Rouge.

Ramos scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Rouge fails with the takedown
and Ramos connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rouge shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ramos but Ramos pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rouge shoots in looking for a takedown but Ramos manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rouge's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Ramos moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
A jab lands there for Ramos.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rouge doesn't succeed with the takedown

Ramos connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Rouge's hands.

Ramos uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
No joy there for Rouge, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rouge on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Ramos slips a jab and a cross from Rouge.
Rouge gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Ramos does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Mr Rouge is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Rouge is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rouge is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Ramos moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
