Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Reynolds!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lukasz Czernis!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reynolds fails with a takedown attempt.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Czernis seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Lukasz Czernis hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Reynolds closes the distance but Czernis moves to the side

so Czernis counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Reynolds is working an open guard so Czernis takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Reynolds stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Reynolds throws a chopping leg kick but Czernis manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Reynolds can't keep his opponent in guard - Czernis advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Reynolds tries to work over Czernis's front leg with a kick but Czernis checks it.
Reynolds shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Czernis sprawls well. Czernis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Reynolds gets slowly back to his feet.
Reynolds shoots in looking for a takedown. Czernis tries to sprawl out of it but Reynolds keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Czernis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Reynolds closes the distance and clinches up with Czernis, looking for a takedown. Reynolds pushes Czernis against the cage but Czernis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Czernis manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Czernis has Reynolds pulled in close to control his posture.

Czernis kicks Reynolds off and gets to his feet.
Reynolds throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Czernis's waist but Czernis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Reynolds off to one side.

and Czernis holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Czernis will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Reynolds up against the cage.

Lukasz Czernis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
