Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of New York, Gotham Weider!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Reed Andrews and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riberio shoots in and drives through. Weider sprawls well.
Riberio doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Weider counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Weider closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Weider lands in his opponent's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Weider content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Riberio has locked up a guillotine! Riberio's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Weider is holding on here and Riberio must be using up a lot of energy. Weider has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Riberio gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

In his post fight interview, Saulo Riberio started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
