Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vernon Melendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Odisseu Ulisses (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Vernon Melendez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Odisseu Ulisses!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ulisses jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Melendez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ulisses was covering up waiting for the punch and Melendez finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Melendez controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Melendez really is a fat lump.
Melendez stands and steps away. Ulisses gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Melendez on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Melendez takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Melendez drives through and clinches with Ulisses against the cage.
Melendez gets control of Ulisses's arms and successfully pulls guard. Melendez will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ulisses wants to get up but he can't break Melendez's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Melendez uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Ulisses tests Melendez's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ulisses stalks Melendez and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Melendez's face. Melendez staggers backwards, shaken.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Melendez gets the takedown into side control.
Ulisses tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Melendez tries for a kimura but Ulisses is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ulisses parries the strikes from Melendez easily there. Melendez is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Ulisses to escape.
Melendez stands up and beckons Ulisses to his feet.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Ulisses!
Ulisses gets caught napping as Melendez dives in and scores a takedown. Ulisses manages to retain guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ulisses not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ulisses looks winded!
Melendez preventing the sweep.
Melendez passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Melendez in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Ulisses is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
