The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanchez gets the takedown into side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Walker tries to improve position but can't.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sanchez is working for a kimura but Walker is defending it quite comfortably.
Walker wants to get back to full guard.

Sanchez is looking for a kimura but Walker is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sanchez to get the leverage.

Sanchez seems to be working for a kimura but Walker defends the submission attempt.
Sanchez is nestled in close to Walker, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Sanchez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Sanchez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sanchez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Sanchez is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Walker is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Walker is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Walker is trying to control Sanchez's posture but Sanchez avoids it.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Sanchez lands an elbow.
Sanchez lands a strong strike to the head of Walker. That's dazed him! Sanchez looking to finish here. Walker is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Sanchez lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
