Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hans De Vries (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gaspar Gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Vries comes to the cage accompanied by Duke Lion. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez forces De Vries back against the cage and clinches.
Gomez tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

De Vries tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gomez was well out of range. Poor timing from De Vries.

De Vries throws a low kick, looking for Gomez's leg but Gomez calmly moves out of range.
Gomez shoots in looking for a takedown but De Vries manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gomez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

De Vries dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gomez. That did some damage!

De Vries is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Gomez is defending well for now.

Gomez has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. De Vries avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Gomez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around De Vries's waist but De Vries gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gomez off to one side.

De Vries clobbers Gomez with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Gomez takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
and De Vries counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Gomez! He's just covering up as De Vries starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
