Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Billy Blanks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eric Lawson!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Blanks but Blanks pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Lawson is stalling here. Blanks is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Lawson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Blanks has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Blanks feints and then cracks Lawson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lawson down.

Blanks fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Lawson checks it well.

Blanks finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Blanks isn't going anywhere.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Let's hope that Lawson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
