Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Darrell Watts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beng Ah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beng Ah has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Darrell Watts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Beng Ah!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yuuki Gou and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Watts closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Ah successfully pulls guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Watts stopping the sweep attempt from Ah.
Watts really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Watts prevents Ah from getting back to his feet.
Watts has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ah is proving hard to escape from.
Watts trying to control but Ah is working from the bottom.
Watts slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Watts will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Darrell Watts has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Ah shoots for a double leg takedown but Watts sprawls well. He's pushed Ah's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Watts throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Ah misses with a body kick.
Crunch! Ah slams his shin into Watts's torso.

Ah manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Watts on his heels. He'll look to pass Watts's guard now, I'm sure.

Beng Ah has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Ah moves in looking to clinch but Watts pushes him off.
Ah tries to clinch
and Watts counters with a body kick.
Watts tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ah swivels and escapes.
Watts throws a sloppy head kick and Ah moves out of range easily.
Ah darts in looking for a takedown but Watts gets double underhooks and turns Ah into the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Watts drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ah gets the underhooks and prevents it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ah tries to pull guard but Watts forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Darrell Watts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Beng Ah.

Ah tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Watts smiles and moves away.
Watts throws a combination. Ah tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Watts darts in looking for a takedown but Ah gets double underhooks and turns Watts into the cage.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Ah tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Watts fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Watts decides to pull guard.
Watts is breathing heavily.
Watts can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ah controls the pace.

Ah tries to stand but Watts is controlling from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ah working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Ah is looking to work some ground and pound but Watts has wrist control.

Watts bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ah's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ah looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Watts puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Watts tries to stand and escape but Ah is controlling the position.
Ah is looking to control Watts's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ah avoid being mounted?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Beng Ah will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!


Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Ah.
Darrell Watts is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ah shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Watts as he jumps to the side.
Watts misses with the combination.
Ah shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Watts pinned against the cage. Watts gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Watts shoots in looking for a takedown. Ah tries to sprawl out of it but Watts keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ah manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ah will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Watts tries to clinch but Ah moves out of range.
Watts defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ah.
Watts closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ah circles away.
Watts doesn't manage to clinch there - Ah circles away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ah. Watts does a little dance to reset his feet.
Watts fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ah shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Watts but Watts pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ah is breathing heavily.

Watts is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Watts isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ah stacks Watts on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ah!
You can see the frustration on Watts's face as Ah controls the position.

Ah is trying to get an arm triangle but Watts is defending well.

Watts tries to escape but Ah is in control.

Watts throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Ah shoots in and drives through. Watts sprawls well.
Watts stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Watts wants it to stay on the feet.
Watts darts in looking for a takedown but Ah gets double underhooks and turns Watts into the cage.
Ah is trying to drag Watts to the mat but Watts just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Watts has Ah pressed against the cage.
Ah has Watts pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Watts manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
A frustrated look appears on Ah's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Watts jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ah walks away with a smile on his face. Watts gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Watts tries to clinch up but Ah circles away and keeps his distance.
Watts tries for a takedown but Ah sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Watts misses with a series of wild punches.
Ah moves in looking to clinch but Watts pushes him off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Darrell Watts will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Watts swats away the attempt to clinch by Ah.
Watts shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ah defends it nicely.
Ah goes for a double leg but Watts avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Watts continues to drive forward.
Watts drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ah has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Watts after a bit of a struggle.
Ah trying to stall but Watts improves his position.

Ah ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ah no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Ah keeping moving, preventing Watts from controlling successfully.

Watts gets to his feet - Ah follows without any prompting.
Ah takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Ah shoots for a double leg takedown but Watts sprawls well. He's pushed Ah's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Watts shoots in but no luck this time.
Ah changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Watts tries to avoid it but Ah manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Watts to the ground. Watts escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Watts closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Ah is trying to escape back to his feet but Watts uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Watts misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Watts wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ah keeps working.
Ah is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Watts has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Ah is trying to control Watts's posture but Watts avoids it.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Watts tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Watts decides to stand up, so the ref orders Ah to his feet.

Watts fails with the takedown.
Ah shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Watts as he avoids it easily.
Watts is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Watts shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ah napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Ah gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Watts throws a strike but Ah avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ah is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Watts tries to stand but Ah is controlling from the bottom.
Ah is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ah is wriggling around but Watts manages to pass to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Darrell Watts showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Watts has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
