Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kalesh Nikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danza Kuduro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nikov might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Till I Collapse. Kuduro has chosen Don Omar - Danza Kuduro as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kalesh Nikov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 10 - 2, fighting out of New York, Danza Kuduro!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Nikov with that takedown attempt.
Nikov pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Nikov swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nikov thows a body shot but no joy.
Nikov moves away from the strike by Kuduro.
Nikov thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kuduro tries to land a front kick but Nikov steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Nikov has a takedown stuffed.
Nikov fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kalesh Nikov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nikov lands a head shot.
Nikov seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Kuduro walks into a left hand.
Danza Kuduro is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nikov swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nikov misses with a low kick.
Kuduro throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Kuduro has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Nikov throws a poor cross that misses

and Kuduro counters with a crisp right hand that drops Nikov! Kuduro lets Nikov back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

It looks like Kalesh Nikov has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nikov slips a jab and a cross from Kuduro.
A chopping leg kick lands by Kuduro.
Nikov shoots in looking for a takedown. Kuduro tries to sprawl out of it but Nikov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kuduro manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nikov misses with a low kick.
Nikov throws a shot from downtown. Kuduro moves away and avoids it.
Kuduro walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Kuduro throws a lazy head kick

and Nikov counters with a shoot takedown. Kuduro fights it but they end up in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Nikov trying to control the position from guard on top but Kuduro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kuduro lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Nikov!
Kuduro is landing with some decent strikes but Nikov is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Kuduro postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Nikov badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Kuduro around the waist but Kuduro pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Kuduro is the winner by TKO! Kuduro jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Danza Kuduro!
After winning the bout, Danza Kuduro thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
