Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Jeff Smith and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finisher fails to land the takedown.
Blackwell fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Blackwell shoots in and bounces Finisher off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Finisher is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Blackwell wants to control from the top but Finisher keeps moving.
Blackwell postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Blackwell wanted to stand there but Finisher had control of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Finisher looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Blackwell passes into side control.
Finisher parries the strikes from Blackwell easily there. Blackwell is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Finisher to escape.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Finisher is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Blackwell off and has taken his back!
Finisher tries to keep control of the position but Blackwell is staying busy.

Blackwell takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Blackwell can't escape the position.
Blackwell fending off the submission attempt from Finisher.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Finisher controlling well, preventing Blackwell from escaping the position.
Blackwell is keeping busy.
Blackwell wants to control his opponent's hands but Finisher gets his hands free.

Finisher looking to break Blackwell's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Blackwell remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Finisher will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Finisher controls the position.
Finisher trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blackwell trying to control the position but Finisher manages to sink in the hooks.
Finisher is cranking Blackwell's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Blackwell! He's tightened the choke and Blackwell is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). The Finisher!
