Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Arnoldo Shaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Justin Scott!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shaw pinned against the cage. Shaw gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Shaw throws a series of punches but Scott avoids them all with ease.

Shaw decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Scott wants to improve his position but Shaw is controlling well.
Shaw is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Arnoldo Shaw just wasn't active enough.

Scott is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Shaw manages to get to full guard.

Shaw knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Scott on the ground.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Shaw wants to sweep here but Scott controlling him for the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Scott has closed the distance and engaged Shaw in a clinch.

Scott ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Scott no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Shaw wants to stand and escape but instead Scott has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Scott accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Scott wants to get up but he can't break Shaw's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Scott is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Scott seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Shaw really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Shaw has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Scott after a bit of a struggle.

Shaw is trying to control Scott's posture but Scott avoids it.
Scott scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Shaw to see if he's OK.

Justin Scott showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Scott feints and as Shaw raises his hands in defense, Scott changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Scott looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Shaw got a little sloppy there for a moment and Scott has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shaw has managed to get both his arms back between Scott's legs - danger averted.
Arnoldo Shaw has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Justin Scott is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Shaw has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well Scott has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
