PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Giorgio Zabat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dim Lovein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zabat comes into the arena with Smoke and Mirrors -RJD2 blaring out of the sound system. Lovein has chosen Ice Cube Check Yo Self as his entrance music. Dim Lovein will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Lovein as Zabat shoots in.
Zabat throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lovein's waist but Lovein gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zabat off to one side.
Lovein scores with a body shot.
Lovein goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Zabat fails with the takedown

and Lovein counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lovein.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Giorgio Zabat. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zabat jumps guard but Lovein turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Zabat tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lovein smiles and moves away.
Lovein fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Lovein cracks Zabat with an open hand slap.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lovein throws a nice outside leg kick.
Zabat has a takedown stuffed.
Zabat definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Zabat is breathing heavily.
Zabat tries to clinch there but Lovein circles away.
Zabat is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Lovein looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Lovein avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Zabat looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Zabat takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Lovein works Zabat's body with a nice hook.

Lovein closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Zabat did well to prevent Lovein getting side control.
Lovein wants to stand but Zabat has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Lovein is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Zabat is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lovein's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lovein's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lovein is trying to stand back up.

Zabat is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Lovein has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Zabat has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Lovein taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Zabat doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Dim Lovein spoke after the fight, saying 'I went easy tonight, but tomorrow and another day, I'll go serious and kick ass, I just went easy tonight, I didn't want to hurt my opponents feelings.'.
