Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gerald Golden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pedro Rizzi!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rizzi drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Rizzi gets to his feet. Golden looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Golden shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rizzi as he jumps to the side.
Rizzi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Golden is fending him off so far but Rizzi persists. Nope, Golden circles away and we're back to standing.
Golden tries to clinch but Rizzi moves away

and Rizzi counters with a shoot takedown. Golden fights it but they end up in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Golden not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Rizzi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Golden has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rizzi has managed to get both his arms back between Golden's legs - danger averted.
Rizzi throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Golden works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Golden's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Golden gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rizzi to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Horrible takedown by Rizzi or perhaps it was just good defense by Golden which made him look bad.

Pedro Rizzi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Rizzi tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rizzi ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Rizzi no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Golden is fighting to break Rizzi's control of his arms but Rizzi is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well Rizzi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
