Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Slip Zacha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Millar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Slip Zacha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Millar !
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zacha stuffs the takedown attempt from Millar . Millar gets slowly back to his feet.
Zacha tries to close the distance and clinch but Millar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Zacha wants to clinch
and Millar counters with a straight right hand.
Slip Zacha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zacha's corner calls for a 1-2. Zacha obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Zacha moves in looking to clinch but Millar pushes him off.

Zacha moves into range and clinches up with Millar .
Millar has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Still in the clinch, Zacha scores with a nice short uppercut.
The referee is keeping an eye on Zacha - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Zacha breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Millar tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Zacha forces Millar back against the cage and clinches.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Millar has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Millar is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Zacha wants to get back to full guard.
Millar thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Millar stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Zacha to get to his feet.

Millar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Zacha as he avoids it easily.

Zacha feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Millar pulls Zacha in close to prevent any damage.

Zacha definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Zacha has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Zacha stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Millar swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Zacha wants to control from the top but Millar keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Slip Zacha.
Zacha lands with a nice combination. Millar backs away looking to recover.

Millar is trying to pull guard but Zacha has him pressed against the cage.
Slip Zacha has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Millar .

Millar is looking to work some ground and pound but Zacha has wrist control.

Millar gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Zacha closes the distance and clinches.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Millar is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Zacha pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Zacha breaks the clinch.
Zacha's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Zacha duly obliges.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Millar is rocked!
Millar misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Slip Zacha dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Millar dives in and grabs Zacha's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zacha pushes down on Millar 's head and hops out.

Zacha knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Millar on the ground.
Still in half guard, Zacha seems content to control.
Millar is looking to control Zacha's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Millar avoid being mounted?

Zacha is pressing down on Millar 's thigh, looking to free his foot. Millar is holding on for now.
Zacha is looking to pass Millar 's guard but actually Millar recovers to full guard.

Millar is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Millar wants to stand and escape but Zacha is having none of it.

Zacha has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Millar uses from the top position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Zacha shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Millar sprawls well. Millar wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Zacha gets slowly back to his feet.

Millar throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Zacha was covering up waiting for the punch and Millar finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Zacha has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Millar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Millar is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Millar shoots in looking for a takedown. Zacha tries to sprawl out of it but Millar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Zacha manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Well Zacha has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
