Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Millar !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kyoichi Sudo!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Millar looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Millar shoots in looking for a takedown. Sudo tries to sprawl out of it but Millar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sudo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sudo walks into a jab.
Millar really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sudo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Millar manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Sudo throws a big elbow that misses.
Sudo throws a strike but Millar rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Sudo is looking to stand up but Millar isn't so interested in that idea.
Millar has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Sudo pulls Millar in to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sudo wants to sweep but no luck.

Sudo has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Millar off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Millar fails with a takedown attempt.
Millar shoots for a double leg takedown but Sudo sprawls well. He's pushed Millar 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Millar . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Millar tries to clinch but Sudo is having none of it.

Millar tries to bum rush Sudo with a series of wild strikes but Sudo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Sudo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Millar trying to hold on to Sudo's head to control him but Sudo postures up.
Sudo thows a huge punch but Millar dodges it nicely.
Sudo slips a nice elbow through Millar 's hands, connecting with Millar 's forehead.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Millar is trying to maintain the position but Sudo is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sudo controlling the pace.
Millar is trying to control but can't.
Millar avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Sudo.
Millar trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Sudo manages to pass to mount!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sudo scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Sudo landing punches.
Sudo lands a big shot there that rocks Millar but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Oh Millar is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sudo postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Millar badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Sudo around the waist but Sudo pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Sudo is the winner by TKO! Sudo jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kyoichi Sudo!
