Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Zachariah Roy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Settimo Vjadenek!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, William Gold and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vjadenek fails to land the takedown.
Vjadenek misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Vjadenek is trying hard to land a takedown here. Roy sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Roy seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Roy stays in close to Vjadenek's body and controls the position.

Zachariah Roy has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Vjadenek looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Roy counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Vjadenek shoots for a takedown but Roy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Roy instigates a clinch.
Vjadenek is pressed up against the cage. Roy has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Vjadenek down to the mat. Vjadenek avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Settimo Vjadenek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Roy drives through and clinches with Vjadenek against the cage.

Roy manages to break the clinch.
Vjadenek tries a head kick but it misses.
Roy lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Roy misses with a two punch combination.
Vjadenek is breathing heavily.
Vjadenek slaps away a takedown attempt from Roy, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Roy thows a body kick. Vjadenek tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Vjadenek leaves Roy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Vjadenek shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Roy defends it nicely.

Roy throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Vjadenek was covering up waiting for the punch and Roy finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Roy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Roy ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Roy no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Vjadenek drops back, looking for a kneebar! Roy looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Roy looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Roy!
Roy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Roy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vjadenek pinned against the cage. Vjadenek gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Vjadenek shoots for a double leg takedown but Roy sprawls well. He's pushed Vjadenek's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Roy shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Roy was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Roy is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Vjadenek takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Vjadenek tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Roy in side control, just content to control the action for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Zachariah Roy wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Roy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Vjadenek avoids it really well and circles away.
Vjadenek misses with a head kick.

Roy clinches up with Vjadenek and pushes him back against the cage.

Roy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Vjadenek shoots for a takedown but Roy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Vjadenek working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Roy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Roy manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Roy is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Vjadenek defends it well.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Roy lands a nice short elbow.

And that's the end of the fight!
Zachariah Roy showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Roy has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
