Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michel Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Recon Gate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Gray.
Gate should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Gray shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gate but Gate pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Gate ducks under a wild hook from Gray.
Gray throws a head kick but Gate moves out of range.
Gate shoots in for a double leg but Gray sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Gate closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gray to the mat! Gray manages to get full guard.

Gate changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gray tries to avoid it but Gate manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gray to the ground. Gray escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Gate. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Gray jumps guard but Gate turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Gray is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Gate pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Gray jabs Gate right on the nose. Gate blinks but takes it well.
