Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jake Barbossa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolai Lagutin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nikolai Lagutin!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lagutin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Barbossa darts in and clinches Lagutin up against the cage.
Barbossa gets a trip takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Barbossa is working for a submission of some sort.

Lagutin tries to reverse the position but Barbossa maintains control.

Barbossa has hold of Lagutin's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lagutin manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Lagutin is bucking up trying to escape but Barbossa cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Barbossa seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Lagutin is holding on tight.
Barbossa is working for a guillotine from mount but Lagutin frees his head quite easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Barbossa can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lagutin is looking to escape.
Barbossa with shots to the head and body - Lagutin looks very uncomfortable down there.
Lagutin is desperately trying to improve his position but Barbossa has a good base and remains in mount.

Lagutin has left one of his arms exposed and Barbossa doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Lagutin screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
