Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zachariah Roy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michel Tenorio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zachariah Roy has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Zachariah Roy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Michel Tenorio!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roy walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Roy walks into a jab.
Roy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A left lands for Tenorio.
Tenorio stuns Roy with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Tenorio looks to land a combination but Roy avoids it well.
Tenorio wants to clinch but Roy slips to the side

and Roy counters with a head kick that drops Tenorio to the mat! Tenorio scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!


Tenorio is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tenorio is looking to clinch.
Tenorio is still on wobbly legs! Can Roy finish him?
Roy takes a jab right on the kisser.
Tenorio seems to have recovered his senses.

Roy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Roy wants to pass the guard but Tenorio is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Roy is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Roy with a flurry of punches that miss.
Roy stands and throws Tenorio's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Roy working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Tenorio trying to remain calm as Roy controls from the top position.
Roy advances to full mount.
Roy controlling from the full mount.

Roy stands up from mount. Strange move.
Michel Tenorio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tenorio slaps away a takedown attempt from Roy, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Roy closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Roy shoots in but no luck this time.
Tenorio pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Tenorio misses with a jab, cross combination.
Tenorio throws the left hand but Roy avoids the punch easily.
Roy circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tenorio takes a head kick and shrugs it off.


It looks like Michel Tenorio has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tenorio connects with a single shot there.

Tenorio lands a two punch combo.
Tenorio looks winded!

Roy moves into the clinch.
Tenorio swings wildly with an uppercut but Roy uses good head movement to avoid it.
Roy tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Tenorio avoids it.
Roy prevents a body shot from Tenorio.
Tenorio has a couple of punches blocked by Roy.
Tenorio blocks the elbow strike.
Tenorio looking to stall.
Tenorio throws a punch but it's blocked by Roy.

Roy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Roy looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Roy decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Roy moves into the clinch.
Roy is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Tenorio is defending well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zachariah Roy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tenorio misses with a body punch.

Roy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Tenorio tries to sprawl but Roy drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Roy stalling.

Roy is working for a kimura but Tenorio is defending it quite comfortably.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's time! Roy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Roy decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Roy not doing much here.

Roy is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tenorio defends it well.
Tenorio pushes Roy off but Roy dives into side control.
Tenorio managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Roy.

Roy decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Tenorio is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The crowd cheers as Tenorio lands an impressive looking overhand right. Roy doesn't seem phased though.
Tenorio looks to land a left hand but Roy moved out of range nicely.
Roy swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Tenorio swings for the body but Roy moves out of range.
Tenorio throws a right and a left that Roy avoids nicely.

Roy shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tenorio napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Roy takes a little break here. Tenorio wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Tenorio really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Roy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Roy is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tenorio is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Roy in side control lands a decent elbow.

Roy decides to stand back up. Roy steps back and let's Tenorio get back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Roy plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Roy closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Tenorio's guard.

Roy gets to his feet - Tenorio follows without any prompting.

Roy moves into the clinch successfully.
Roy lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Tenorio pressing his opponent against the cage.
Tenorio tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Roy breaks from the clinch.

Roy throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tenorio was covering up waiting for the punch and Roy finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Tenorio is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Roy dives into side control.
Roy in side control, throwing shots but Tenorio defends.
Roy controls the position.
Roy sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Tenorio is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Roy working the body and head with strikes.
Tenorio seems a little lost for a moment, as Roy dominates the positioning.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Michel Tenorio's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Crunch! Roy slams his shin into Tenorio's torso.
Roy tries for a takedown but Tenorio sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Roy drives through and clinches with Tenorio against the cage.
Roy wants a takedown but no success here.
Roy controlling the action here for a moment.

Roy has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Tenorio uses from the top position.
Roy is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Roy looking for a sweep. Not yet Roy, not yet.

Roy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tenorio gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Roy is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Roy has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Tenorio takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Roy tries to strike from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Roy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Roy wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Roy is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Roy slows the pace down in half guard.
Roy winds up and cracks Tenorio with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Roy not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Tenorio blocking the ground and pound attempt from Roy.

Roy stands up and beckons Tenorio to join him on the feet.

Roy is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Tenorio's half guard.

Roy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tenorio is just riding it out for now. Roy eventually gives up the hold.

Roy passes to side control.

Roy tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Roy content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

And that's the end of the fight!
Zachariah Roy showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Roy has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
