Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Darell Deleon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Evers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Darell Deleon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mark Evers!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deleon checks the leg kick.
Deleon tries to clinch but Evers is having none of it.

Evers fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Deleon, pushing him back against the cage.
Evers is looking to break free of the clinch but Deleon has double underhooks.
Evers tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Deleon's elbow.

Deleon breaks the clinch.
Evers stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Evers wants it to stay on the feet.
Evers throws a head kick but Deleon moves out of range.
Evers misses with the body kick
and Deleon counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Deleon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Evers as he avoids it easily.
A bone on bone clash there as Deleon blocks the leg kick.

Deleon closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Evers to the mat! Evers manages to get full guard.
Deleon stays in close to Evers's body and controls the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Evers has his foot on Deleon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Deleon works his way back into a safe position though.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Evers is on top in guard.
Deleon utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Evers slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Deleon pushes Evers away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Evers gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Evers is staying tight to Deleon's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Deleon is looking for a sweep.
Evers wants to take a breather but Deleon manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Evers.

Evers stands up from Deleon's guard - Evers perhaps looking for a knockout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Evers throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Deleon's waist but Deleon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Evers off to one side.

Deleon moves into the clinch.

Deleon is wriggling around but Evers manages to pass to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Deleon is pressing down on Evers's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Deleon is trying to keep Evers in close.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Evers wants to pass the guard but Deleon is keeping the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Evers jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Deleon walks away with a smile on his face. Evers gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Deleon shoots in looking for a takedown but Evers manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Deleon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Darell Deleon.
I think Evers has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
