The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakumura tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Poppy was well out of range. Poor timing from Nakumura.
Nakumura tries to clinch but Poppy moves out of range.
Nakumura throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nakumura tries a head kick but it misses.
Poppy drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Poppy is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Nakumura is trying to escape and Poppy transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Nakumura is forced to tap! Nice work there by Poppy! Very nice indeed!
