The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots for a takedown but chaplen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

chaplen drives through with a takedown into guard.
chaplen sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Jones is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
chaplen looking to pass the guard.
Jones can't keep his opponent in guard - chaplen advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
chaplen is tying to control. Jones wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
chaplen tries to stand but can't do so whilst Jones controls his leg.

Jones is staying active underneath chaplen, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
chaplen tries to pass to full mount but Jones defends it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
chaplen is looking to clinch but Jones is avoiding it.

chaplen shoots in and bounces Jones off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
chaplen in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

chaplen has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Jones to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! chaplen is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Jones pulls down on the head and he's put chaplen to sleep! This one is all over!
