Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miyamoto Musashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Miyamoto Musashi!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Musashi looks for a takedown but Armstrong sprawls well.

Horrible takedown by Armstrong or perhaps it was just good defense by Musashi which made him look bad.
Musashi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Armstrong defends it nicely.
Armstrong throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Musashi's waist but Musashi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Armstrong off to one side.

Armstrong has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Musashi is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Armstrong.

Musashi uses his free foot to push down on Armstrong's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Armstrong.

Musashi might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Armstrong haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Musashi is persistently looking for the submission but Armstrong is defending it well.

Armstrong will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Miyamoto Musashi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Musashi has Armstrong pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Armstrong manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Armstrong jumps guard but Musashi stands there with Armstrong around his waist. Armstrong gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Armstrong really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Musashi gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Armstrong regains guard.

Miyamoto Musashi is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Musashi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
