Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hubert Moss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Irving (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Hubert Moss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Irving!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Irving misses with a takedown attempt

and Moss counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Irving's guard now.
Irving is looking to stand up but Moss isn't so interested in that idea.
Irving can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Moss controls the pace.
Moss throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Irving works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Irving looking to control but Moss passes into half guard.
Irving moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Irving is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Irving not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Moss is standing up over Irving. Irving looks to escape but Moss dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Moss is trying to get an arm triangle but Irving is defending well.
Irving is trying to control Moss's posture but Moss avoids it.
Moss wants to stand but Irving is controlling his arm.

Moss thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Irving tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Moss taking a break here but Irving is having none of it and regains half guard.
Irving wants to get back to full guard.
Irving tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Moss has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Moss has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Irving's face.

Moss is looking to stand but Moss has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Moss looking to control and managing it successfully.
Irving is trying desperately to improve position.
Moss controlling from mount.

Irving is desperately trying to improve his position but Moss has a good base and remains in mount.
Irving wants to control but Moss is having none of it.
Irving wants to try and get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Moss controlling the pace for now.
Moss avoids the attempt from Irving to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Irving moves into the clinch.

Irving manages to break the clinch.
Irving looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Moss is fending him off so far but Irving persists. Nope, Moss circles away and we're back to standing.
Moss throws a head kick that misses
and Irving counters with a head kick.
Moss pivots, looking for a leg kick but Irving is out of range and Moss settles back down.
Moss tries to score a power double leg takedown but Irving sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Moss somewhat.
Moss circles away from the clinch attempt.
Irving shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Moss misses with a takedown

and Irving counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Moss holds on and takes a little breather.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Moss is looking to stand up but Irving isn't so interested in that idea.
Moss controls Irving momentarily but Irving frees himself.

Moss has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Irving can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Moss looking for a sweep. Not yet Moss, not yet.
Irving trying to control the position from guard on top but Moss is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Irving decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Irving is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Irving fails with the takedown
and Moss makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Hubert Moss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Irving.
Irving throws a right and a left that both miss.

and Moss counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Irving!
Irving is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Moss staying calm.

Moss working the body and head with strikes.
Moss trying to control the action but Irving is working from the bottom.
Irving wants to get back to his feet.

Moss wants to stand but Irving is controlling his arm.
Irving can't do much from the bottom here.
Irving is looking for a sweep.
Moss tries to stand but Irving is controlling his head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Peter Irving will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Moss dives in and grabs Irving's left leg, looking for a takedown. Irving pushes down on Moss's head and hops out.
Irving will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Moss counters with a single leg into guard. Irving didn't expect that.
Irving wants to stand but Moss is controlling the position.
Irving keeping moving, preventing Moss from controlling successfully.
Moss wants to stand but Irving has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Irving is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Moss might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Irving pulls Moss in close to prevent any damage.
Hubert Moss overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Irving swinging wildly here.

Moss moves into the clinch.

Irving gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Moss is not content to let Irving control the position.
Moss trying to control but Irving postures up.

Moss punching from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Moss manages to get to full guard.
Moss pulls Irving in close to prevent any damage.
Irving wants to stand but Moss has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Moss is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Irving dives into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Moss is trying to buck Irving off.
Moss regains half guard.
Irving scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Irving is taking a breather. Moss says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Irving blocks the strikes from Moss.
Moss tries to get to full guard but Irving has control of the leg.
Irving working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Moss on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Moss tries to get out of the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Moss landing strikes from the bottom.
Moss won't allow Irving to pass to mount.
Moss is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Irving's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Irving's back!
Moss not allowing Irving to control his hands.
Moss keeps control of the position as Irving tries to break free.
Irving takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Irving trying to control the action but Moss just sinks the hooks in.

Moss is looking for the choke from the back position but Irving is controlling his hands well.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hubert Moss.
I think Moss has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
