Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hugh Campos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Lamas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tony Lamas will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tony Lamas!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lamas rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Campos moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Campos tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Campos closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lamas circles away.

Campos gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Lamas misses with some punches.
Campos goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lamas prevents it.
Campos is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Campos tries to pull guard but Lamas forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Lamas gets tackled into the cage by Campos. Campos maintains the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Campos drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lamas pulls his leg out and moves away.

Lamas throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Campos blocks it with crossed arms.
Lamas drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Campos gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Campos jumps into guard, dragging Lamas to the mat.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Lamas enables Campos to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lamas manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Campos not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Lamas manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Campos manages to get himself to full guard.

Lamas closes the distance and clinches up with Campos, looking for a takedown. Lamas pushes Campos against the cage but Campos circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hugh Campos.
Well Campos has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
