Parisyen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Hari ng Tondo kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Kari Parisyen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kees Flodder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kari Parisyen!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Flodder. Those never looked like landing.
Flodder scores with a crisp jab that stopped Parisyen in his tracks.
Flodder rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Parisyen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Flodder connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Flodder!
Flodder misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Parisyen takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Parisyen tries to clinch up but Flodder circles away and keeps his distance.
Flodder scores with a hook.
Flodder has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Flodder lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Kari Parisyen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Flodder throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Parisyen.
Flodder circles away from the clinch attempt.
Parisyen tries to clinch up
and Flodder counters with a left and a right that stings Parisyen.
Flodder shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Parisyen eats them both and turns towards Flodder to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Parisyen tries to clinch up but Flodder circles away and keeps his distance.

Parisyen rushes Flodder and presses him up against the cage.

Parisyen lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Parisyen is working for a kimura here but Flodder manages to reverse the position and he's now in Parisyen's guard.
Flodder's corner is telling him to maintain position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Parisyen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Flodder defends well.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kees Flodder wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Flodder circles away from the clinch attempt
and Flodder counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Parisyen tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Flodder counters with a three punch combo that has Parisyen backing up. Parisyen nods at Flodder to acknowledge the strikes.
Flodder throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Parisyen's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Flodder dives in looking to finish as Parisyen flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Flodder's strikes! Flodder is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Parisyen's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Parisyen was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kees Flodder!
Kees Flodder really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Ultra Fight Gear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
