The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alkofer slips a jab and a cross from Mamas.
Mamas takes a swing at Alkofer's ribcage but misses.
Alkofer takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Sloppy strikes from Mamas. Those never looked like landing.
Mamas tries to bum rush Alkofer with a series of wild strikes but Alkofer uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Tu Me La Mamas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Alkofer shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Alkofer showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mamas has hold of Alkofer's hands but Alkofer slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Alkofer passes to side control.
Alkofer moves into full mount!
Alkofer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Alkofer looking to secure an arm triangle but Mamas defends it well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Alkofer prevents Mamas from getting the reversal.

Mamas tries to lock up and control but Alkofer gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
