The crowd seem to be enjoying Mathison's choice of entrance music: The Sickness. David Mathison has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Reed Andrews and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mathison tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pettis swivels and escapes.
Mathison throws a shot from downtown. Pettis moves away and avoids it.
Mathison fails to land the takedown.
Mathison will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Titiarito Pettis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Mathison.
Mathison shoots in looking for a takedown but Pettis manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mathison's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The fight stays on the outside here - Mathison looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Pettis darts in looking for a takedown but Mathison gets double underhooks and turns Pettis into the cage.

Pettis is trying to trip Mathison. He has hold of a leg but Mathison is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Pettis persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Mathison wants to sweep but no luck.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pettis stands up over Mathison, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Pettis arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Mathison's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

David Mathison was interviewed post fight and said 'You're all losers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'.
