Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cristiano Nascimento (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Gillis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nascimento comes to the cage accompanied by Symptom of The Universe (1975) . Gillis has chosen I Don't Feel Like Dancing - Scissor Sisters as his entrance music. Cristiano Nascimento has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nascimento tried to score with a low kick but Gillis checks it.
Gillis shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Nascimento eats them both and turns towards Gillis to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Cristiano Nascimento has been cut.
Gillis has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gillis there as he acknowledges the shot.

It looks like Jamie Gillis has been cut.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Gillis lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Nascimento has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Nascimento and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Gillis drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Gillis throws a strike aimed at the side of Nascimento's head but Nascimento avoids it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nascimento is trying to stick to Gillis's back but Gillis is turning into Nascimento. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Nascimento's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Gillis.
Gillis wants to control from the top but Nascimento keeps moving.
Gillis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nascimento swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gillis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nascimento keeps working.

Gillis cracks Nascimento with a big right hand but Nascimento just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Gillis is looking to take a break and control but Nascimento is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Gillis thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Gillis sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Nascimento is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Gillis working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gillis shoots for a double leg takedown but Nascimento sprawls well. He's pushed Gillis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Nascimento cracks Gillis with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Nascimento tries to close the distance and clinch but Gillis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nascimento throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Gillis throws a lazy right hand but Nascimento sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Nascimento lands a glancing blow to the side of Gillis's head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gillis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nascimento tries to clinch there but Gillis circles away.
Nascimento walks into a stiff left hand from Gillis.
Nascimento tries to move into range but Gillis moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Horrible takedown by Gillis or perhaps it was just good defense by Nascimento which made him look bad.

Nascimento throws the left hand but Gillis avoids the punch easily.

Nascimento rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gillis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gillis throws a shot from downtown. Nascimento moves away and avoids it.
Gillis uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Nascimento.

and Gillis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cristiano Nascimento is winning the standup battle so far.
Gillis dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Gillis's coach down at Team Hopkins was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Gillis's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Gillis misses with a takedown attempt - Nascimento sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Cristiano Nascimento has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamie Gillis.
Gillis on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Nascimento. Nascimento obviously looking to wear him down.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nascimento lands with an uppercut that bounces Gillis off the cage and back into range.
Nascimento lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Nascimento throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Nascimento breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Nascimento sends Gillis crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Nascimento is motioning to the referee to let Gillis up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Nascimento tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gillis manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A solid leg kick lands there for Nascimento.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gillis uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Nascimento.

Nascimento feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Gillis sprawling to the canvas! Gillis rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Nascimento finish him?!
Nascimento ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Gillis's jaw. Gillis's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Nascimento does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Cristiano Nascimento!
A victorious Cristiano Nascimento thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
In defeat, Jamie Gillis stepped up to the mic, saying 'Sorry fans, sorry for this fight. I got to aggressive and didn't follow the game-plan. But you know what win, lose, or draw I will be back for you guys. After party? there won't be. The thing was I trained hard for this fight and for it not to go my way really sucks but it is what it is now going '.
