Mir has chosen SURF RIDER!!! by The lively ones! as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Ethelbart Takahashi!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frankestein Mir!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Takahashi has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Socrates' House of Questions in the buildup to the fight.

Mir got a little sloppy there for a moment and Takahashi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mir has managed to get both his arms back between Takahashi's legs - danger averted.

Takahashi throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mir stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Takahashi turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Takahashi throws a right and a left that Mir avoids nicely.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Mir looks for the body kick but Takahashi saw that one coming.
Mir paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Takahashi feints and then cracks Mir's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mir down.

That's time! Takahashi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Both fighters circling a little - Mir finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Mir shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Takahashi but Takahashi pushes him off and we're back to square one.
